Always Be Ready

Passage: Matthew 24:42-44

Summary:

In this passage Jesus teaches that when we live in this age of the coming Kingdom, we need to be watchful and prepared. That command really means to be in love with our Coming King—to anticipate His coming and to live our lives not according to what we’re experiencing here and now but in anticipation of His return. This life is hard, so many things distract us. There’s a great temptation in this long age to forget that Jesus is coming! God’s desire is that during this age we will live our lives with intentionality to prepare for that day.
